Die trial struck into a lettered edge half cent blank, this die would be struck over a copper cent.
Reverse is that of the 1796 half dollar reverse which served as the anvil for this test strike.
This die would be used for the Milwaukee Medal Society and the TAMS Token and Medal Society that year.
